Double Engine State Govt is committed to welfare and Growth, said Scindia in his first reaction to media.
Gwalior:- (Umesh Singh) On his maiden visit to Gwalior after being inducted into Modi’s cabinet as union minister for civil aviation, Jyotiraditya Scindia was accorded a historic welcome at Morena and Gwalior on September 22 here. He was flanked by union Agriculture minister Narendra Singh Tomar and host of ministers in state government including cabinet minister Tulsi Silawat, Mahendra Singh Sisodia, Govind Singh Rajput, Praduman Singh Tomar, Member of Parliament (Gwalior) Vivek Narayan Shejbalkar,Member of Parliament (Bhind) Ms Sandhya Suman Rai and others. In his first reaction to media near Rajghat bridge built on Chambal river Scindia said the BJP is a disciplined party and its leaders work in tandem towards growth and development. Our PM Narendra Modiji is a visionary leader. Under his guidance the whirlwind tour of the region was planned after streamlining the ministry work, added Scindia. He lauded the performance of state government under chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan by adding that the double engine (Modiji at the centre and Chouhan in the state) at the helm of affair is committed to welfare and development. Scindia dubbed the congress for raking up baseless issues.
Earlier Scindia reached by car from Delhi to Rajghat bridge on Chambal River (Morena district) as scheduled at around 11.30 am today. Union minister Tomar introduced Scindia to party functionaries and workers on his arrival and duo together with state ministers proceeded to Morena city. Enthusiasm among party workers was palpable as everyone trying to compete each other to draw attention of their leaders. More than 2 hour long jan ashirwad yatra/road show in Morena city brought the life to standstill as motorcade passed through.
The procession to kick-start from Rajghat bridge at Chambal river has symbolic relevance for Scindia family from the time of late Madhavrao Scindia. After he quit as union HRD minister of the congress regime led by Narasimha Rao in 1996, Madhavrao Scindia had embarked on yatra to Kshipra in Ujjain from Rajghat. Its’ success led the supporters and well-wisher to believe that outcome or end result is rewarding/gratifying.
In the afternoon around 2.45 the rally entered Gwalior from Morena at Nirawli triangle or Purani Chawni area. Scindia together with Tomar and others was seated in especially designed open carriage being brought in from Indore. Women wing of BJP functionaries performed arti, offered flowers and dances to religious and nationalists tune. Fire crackers were busted on every nook and corner enroute the Maharaj Baba where rally is schedule to culminate. The city was adorned with banner, posters, cutouts etc. People lined along the route showered floral petals. Apart from party workers cross section of society including social organisation and clubs members also welcomed the rally/guests. The rally passed through Motijheel area, Bahodapur chowk, Jail Road, Ramdas Ghati, Shinde Ki Chawni, Phoolbagh, Gurudwara, Jayendraganj, Patankar Bazaar, Old High Court, Dolat Ganj etc. before culmination at Deoghar for puja (Maharaj Bada vicinity).
In his tweet Scindia expressed gratitude for enthusiasm and love by the people of region and chambal soil (Chambal ki maati). I am indebted for extra ordinary zeal being shown by the people here and bow my head for the same. This is maiden visit by Scindia after being inducted as union civil aviation.
